The annual event is aimed at not just nursery and primary aged kids, secondary school pupils are also encouraged to take part and it shows with the selected books which are on offer. There are 10 £1 books for the event including Elmer’s Parade, Goth Girl and Killing The Dead. We love the books that legendary comedian David Walliams are penned as well, have you read Gangsta Granny?

If your kids love the books of Peppa Pig, why not throw a party? We have special themed invites and napkins to add extra colour and character to the party! We also have loads of wigs & other fancy dress accessories to bring your character favourite to life. For an adult party to celebrate all things literacy, don’t forget, The Walking Dead started off as a graphic novel before heading to our TV screens. Why not throw your own Zombie party?

World Book Day runs a campaign to dress up for the day and donate to Book Aid International, which helps to send beautiful new books to children in Africa. Head over to the World Book Day website or pop instore to Party Fever to get inspired for your costume. Get excited and get involved in this year’s World Book Day!
